The role combines fieldwork, technical reporting, mentoring junior staff, and client liaison, ensuring high quality, timely project delivery.The Company: A forward thinking environmental consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering professional ecological and environmental services across the UK. The business values collaboration, technical excellence and innovation, offering a supportive environment for professional development and progression.The Candidate:- Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline- Proven experience in ecological fieldwork and protected species surveys- Holder of Natural England survey licences for at least two protected species- Member (or working towards membership) of CIEEM- Strong understanding of UK ecological legislation, policy, and best practice- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Proactive, organised, and team-focused, with strong mentoring abilities- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as requireDesirable:- EPS mitigation licence application experience- Familiarity with GIS systems (e.g., ArcGIS)- Previous experience in multi-disciplinary environmental projects- Interest in business development and client relationship managementThe Package:- Competitive salary (dependent on experience)- 31 days’ annual leave plus birthday leave- Contributory pension scheme- Private medical insurance- CIEEM professional membership fees paid- Dedicated personal development budget- Supportive, progressive environment with hybrid working options
