Candidate can choose which of the two is their base location. Travel and accommodation will only be paid for the alternate site.Candidates must be eligible for SC clearanceDelivery of Terminal Services projectThis role involves basic engineering practice and knowledge of basic networking to connect switches, apply basic configuration, and perform a ping test. The successful candidate will:Attend client sites in Warwick and WokinghamProvide hands-on support as part of infrastructure and system rolloutsLiaise with on-site contacts to ensure smooth operation and communicationUse provided laptop to follow scripted configuration stepsExecute documented procedures with precision to apply configuration changesMaintain logs of changes made and any unexpected issues encounteredPerform basic connectivity and ping testsVerify successful implementation of configuration via standard network testing toolsProvide basic troubleshooting if ping tests fail and escalate if necessaryPossess working knowledge of basic networkingUnderstand switch connectivity, IP addressing, subnetting, and default gatewaysBe able to identify cable types, port roles, and basic switch diagnosticsBring foundational Wintel infrastructure knowledgeExposure to Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019)Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, and standard Windows toolsSupport ongoing infrastructure improvement initiativesProvide feedback to engineering leads on process efficiency and documentation clarityContribute to knowledge base by documenting lessons learned on siteAll profiles will be reviewed against the required skills and experience.
