Secondary SEND Learning Support Assistant Milk Education is seeking a caring, resilient, and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support pupils with additional needs across Secondary Schools in Merseyside (Liverpool & The Wirral). This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and thrive both academically and emotionally. If you are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of students with special educational needs, this could be the perfect role for you Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties. Support students in accessing the KS3–KS4 curriculum and engaging positively with learning. Assist in adapting resources and differentiating tasks to meet individual needs. Promote a calm, supportive, and inclusive environment that encourages emotional regulation and positive behaviour. Help pupils build independence, resilience, and confidence in and out of the classroom. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to ensure effective and consistent provision. Requirements: Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school-based or transferable experience welcomed). A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt to a variety of learning needs and classroom situations. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
