About the role Connex Education is in partnership with a vibrant Primary School within the Ashby de la Zouch area to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work on a long term basis starting ASAP. You will have strong teamwork skills as the school in question has a key focus on teamwork and collaboration to be able to achieve student and school goals. A key ethos and aim for this school are to ensure all learners are provided focused support to ensure excellent progress is made. Duties will include general classroom support for all pupils in KS1 and KS2, facilitating learning through play and small group interventions for pupils requiring additional help. Be willing to support on a 1:1 basis or work in small groups with children Have behaviour management skills Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc Be organised and reliable Have a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process a new one Willing to go the extra mile All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks, including a DBS check.
