Job Title: Control Systems EngineerLocation: Birmingham Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) Type: PermanentSRG are currently recruiting for a Control Systems Engineer to join a successful and growing client based near Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to critical projects and maintenance activities in a fast-paced industrial environment.Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Diagnose and resolve control system issues to ensure smooth operationsDesign, specify, and install control and safety systems (including PLCs, BPCS, SIS, DCS, SCADA, HMI)Manage changes by reviewing proposals and implementing system modifications.Collaborate with internal teams and external partners such as suppliers, integrators, and contractorsPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all legal and company standardsSupport training and development within the department.Criteria: Minimum HNC in Controls/Electronic/Instrument EngineeringStrong experience with Allen Bradley systems (RSLogix 500, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View)Knowledge of relevant standards (BS/IEC 61003, 61131, 61508, 61511, 62443)Understanding of functional safety, SIL, LOPA, and Safety Instrumented SystemsExperience with communication protocols (Ethernet, DH+, Modbus, ProfiNet)Awareness of OT Cyber Security, IIoT, and AI is a plus.Previous exposure to chemical manufacturing, hazardous areas (ATEX), and instrumentation engineering preferredProficiency with AutoCAD or similar tools.If interested, please apply or contact Julia for more information: / 0161 667 1803Guidant,
