What You’ll Be Doing:Leading a team of Planning and Cost Engineers, ensuring consistency and high standards across all control functions within the designated portfolio.Driving compliance with the Investment Delivery Process (IDP) and advising stakeholders on best practices in project controls.Developing, reviewing, and maintaining fully integrated cost and resource-loaded project schedules using approved methodologies and structures.Overseeing project monitoring techniques, including earned value analysis, physical progress tracking, and trend analysis across all projects.Producing accurate and insightful project reports, working closely with Project Managers and Programme Managers to meet reporting deadlines.Managing risk and change control processes and identifying areas of potential cost or schedule variance.Supporting recruitment and forward resource planning for the wider project controls function.Contributing to the ongoing improvement of project control tools, processes, and capabilities.  What You’ll Need:Degree (or equivalent) in a numerate or project-related discipline.Strong background in project controls, with experience in both planning and cost functions.Skilled in data analysis and interpreting project performance trends to drive informed decision-making.Familiarity with the interdependencies between time, cost, and commercial outcomes.Proficient in Primavera P6, with a good understanding of planning methodologies and techniques.Experience using project management tools such as SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint.Excellent communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders at all levels.Strong working knowledge of earned value principles, cost management systems, and reporting tools.MACostE membership or equivalent professional accreditation is desirable.  Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.Free single medical cover and access to a digital GP service.Enhanced parental leave and family-friendly policies.Free access to employee assistance and parental programmes.Reimbursement of professional membership and development costs.Paid volunteering, matched charitable donations, and community engagement through the Collectively programme.Flexible working options including hybrid working, part-time hours, and adjusted schedules to suit business and individual needs.  Location: Gloucester Hybrid working The NRL Group connect global companies with the right people to bring engineering projects to life.
