Organisation Notts County Foundation Salary £27,000 Location Meadow Lane Stadium Contract type Permanent (Full time) Closing date 31 December 2025 Job Description The Employability Mentor will play a vital role in supporting youngpeople aged 16–24 who are currently unemployed or at risk oflong-term unemployment. Based within the Notts CountyFoundation Youth Hub and working in partnership with theDepartment for Work and Pensions (DWP), the postholder willdeliver tailored one-to-one mentoring, employability sessions, andpersonal development support.The role focuses on empowering young people to identify andovercome barriers to employment, education, or training, whilebuilding their confidence, resilience, and readiness for the world ofwork.The Employability Mentor will work collaboratively with DWP WorkCoaches, local employers, training providers, and communityorganisations to create clear progression pathways and achievepositive outcomes for participants.Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:Participant Support and MentoringDeliver one-to-one and group mentoring sessions to young people referred by DWP or other partnersConduct holistic needs assessments to create tailored action plans addressing employability,wellbeing, and personal developmentSupport participants in developing CVs, job applications, interview skills, and digital literacyMotivate and inspire young people to engage in volunteering, training, education, or employmentopportunitiesProvide ongoing pastoral support, monitoring progress and addressing barriers as they arisePartnership Working and Employer EngagementWork closely with DWP Work Coaches to ensure consistent support and information sharingBuild relationships with local employers and training providers to source work experience,apprenticeships, and job opportunitiesLiaise with community organisations to offer wraparound support addressing mental health, housing,financial, or wellbeing needsProgramme Delivery and MonitoringMaintain accurate and confidential participant records in line with GDPR and Foundation policiesRecord outcomes and progress to meet project targets and reporting requirementsContribute to monitoring and evaluation reports for funders and partnersPromote the Youth Hub and Notts County Foundation’s wider programmes through outreach andcommunity engagementGeneral Responsibilities:Uphold the values and aims of Notts County FoundationPromote equality, diversity, and inclusion across all areas of workAttend staff meetings, supervision sessions, and relevant trainingRepresent the Foundation positively at all times, including at community and stakeholder eventsSafeguarding StatementNotts County Foundation (NCF) operates a child centred approach to safeguarding and where concernsabout the welfare of a child or adult at risk exists, staff will always act in the best interests of the child oradult at risk. This includes implementing appropriate filtering and monitoring measures to safeguard childrenand young people (CYP) from harmful content, online risks, and inappropriate use of digital resources.
