Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Nuclear Safety Consultant to strengthen their capability across nuclear-powered vessels and maritime nuclear installations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with existing nuclear safety experience-or an engineer from a high-hazard environment-who is keen to deepen their expertise in nuclear technology, safety case delivery, and regulatory compliance within the maritime sector.You'll be joining a small, highly capable consultancy where individuals have real autonomy, visibility, and influence. The role offers exposure to a wide range of clients and projects, with the chance to shape both technical delivery and future safety standards across the industry.The RoleThe Nuclear Safety Consultant will support the development and implementation of nuclear safety strategies, provide expert technical guidance, and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards across the full project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver nuclear safety case activities and safety management support across design, build, and commissioning phasesReview and evaluate design proposals, specifications, and technical documentation with a strong focus on nuclear safety compliancePrepare and author safety case reports, technical documents, manuals, and operational proceduresDevelop clear findings and recommendations and present them to clientsParticipate in client meetings, workshops, and technical presentationsStay up to date with developments in nuclear safety management within the maritime and naval sectorsLead and manage projects, ensuring timely delivery of safety documentation and effective safety strategiesEssential Experience & SkillsBackground as a Nuclear Safety Consultant or technical experience within the nuclear industryEngineers from comparable high-hazard industries will be considered with the right aptitude and motivationUK National, able to meet Security Check (SC) clearance requirementsSelf-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in multi-disciplinary teamsStrong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to clearly communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiencesDesirableDegree in a relevant engineering disciplineChartered Engineer status or actively working towards itKnowledge of vessel design, construction, or operationUnderstanding of relevant nuclear and maritime regulations and standardsWillingness to travel to client sites as requiredWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary of 拢50,000 - 拢65,00025 days' holiday, increasing to 30 days with long-term serviceGenerous pension scheme with employer contributions up to 10%Hybrid working modelPrivate healthcareCompany and individual performance-related bonus schemesOngoing support for professional development and chartershipServices advertised by Gold Group are those of an Agency and/or an Employment Business.We will contact you within the next 14 days if you are selected for interview.
