Company ALPINE RACING LIMITED Job Description Alpine F1 Team is looking for a talented Model Maker Technician to join our model shop in support of our wind tunnel programme.  With a dynamic and supportive team mindset and world-leading facilities in rural Oxfordshire, we provide the ideal environment for the next step in your career. If you are high performing, tenacious and motivated, apply today. The Role As a Model Maker Technician in our Aerodynamics Department, you will play a key part in our aerodynamics testing programme by manufacturing and pre-fitting components for our state-of-the-art wind tunnel model, and by carrying out model changes and operating the tunnel during tests to ensure the smooth and safe running of the model and facility. A strong team player, you will communicate proactively with colleagues, including those in our Model Design, Wind Tunnel Production, Experimental Testing and Aero Development groups, to ensure the model quality is optimal, the aerodynamic intent of development programmes is captured, and tunnel tests operate smoothly and efficiently.  You will have an open mind and will strive for opportunities to improve the efficiency and quality of our model and processes, communicating these with your team leader or other colleagues as appropriate. The Person You will have extensive model making experience in Formula One or another top-level motorsport category, and a sound engineering background.  Previous experience in wind tunnel testing would be a distinct advantage.  Your background will have given you a strong appreciation of wind tunnel technologies and techniques, and an enthusiasm for experimental testing in general. You will be highly motivated, with a positive can-do mindset and great attention to detail, capable of producing high quality components and assemblies to tight deadlines even when under pressure.  This is fundamentally a team role, so you will be an excellent communicator, working flexibly to meet demanding schedules, and proactively looking for ways in which we can make our processes more efficient and effective. In this role you will be based at our Technical Centre in Enstone.  Job Family Corporate Management Renault Group is committed to creating an inclusive working environment and the conditions for each of us to bring their passion, perform to the full and grow, whilst being themselves.  We find strength in our diversity and we are engaged to ensure equal employment opportunities regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, etc. If you have a disability or special need requiring layout of the workstation or work schedule, please let us know by completing this form.
