Job DescriptionContracts Engineer Location: Midlands (with UK travel) Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Company Van + benefits Sector: Piling & Ground EngineeringJoin a growing specialist sub-contractor with a strong pipeline of technically complex projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and organised Contracts Engineer or a Site Engineer looking for a more varied role to take the next step in their career with a well-established business delivering challenging piling and ground engineering schemes. This role will suit an individual wanting to build a career within the industry The Role You'll work closely with the Contracts Manager and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required specification. Covering multiple sites, you'll take a hands-on role in coordinating technical and commercial elements, managing site documentation, and supporting project delivery from pre-start through to completion.Key responsibilities of the Contracts Engineer: - Supporting the delivery of multiple piling and ground engineering projects across the UK - Preparing and managing RAMS, lift plans, pile schedules, ITPs, and programmes - Coordinating pre-start meetings, site visits and progress reviews - Managing project documentation and ensuring technical compliance - Monitoring progress and supporting commercial teams with variations and valuations - Working with internal teams to allocate plant and labour - Overseeing subcontractors, suppliers, and testing requirements - Promoting high standards of health & safety on site Experience required for the Contracts Engineer role. - You'll have a strong understanding of civil engineering and site operations. - Experience in piling or geotechnical contracting. - 3-5 Years working on site based roles; Site Engineer, Setting Out, Project Engineer. - Previous experience working nationally with time spent working away or open to do so. - Tenacious, ambitious and wanting to develop a career with a company. - A strong working knowledge of computer systems such as Excel, MS Projects, Word. - To be successful for the Contracts Engineer role: - Site-based experience with a subcontractor or contractor - Good knowledge of piling, geotechnics, or ground engineering (preferred) - Strong communication and coordination skills - CSCS card (SSSTS or SMSTS beneficial) - AP or TWC certificates are preferred - Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel To apply for this role please reach out to me directly or apply with your CV to arrange a call back.
