I am a 76-year-old woman who lives in Dumfries and has a diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder (BPD), Parkinson’s Disease with subsequent dementia, Diabetes, Atrial Fibrillation, Osteoarthritis, Hypothyroidism and Kidney Disease (stage 4). Due to those serious and debilitating conditions, I am increasingly struggling to manage personal care tasks daily and although my husband is extremely helpful, he also requires much needed respite. I am looking for someone who can support me in my home with PC tasks and provide some respite for my husband. Duties- Support with PC tasks e.g. meals, showering, possibly getting out of bed and dressed, incontinence care occasionally- Any support for client that falls under personal care or respite for main carerPerson SpecDriver’s License preferredReliableExperience in Adult CareStrong Character and sensitive to client’s needs and conditionsGreat sense of humourAbility to use own initiativeFlexiblePerson-centred approachMust have a clean driving licenseFemale onlyHours of work- 14 hours per week can be flexible with times/days upon discussion but schedule is looking like 11-1pm x 7 days weekly (may change depending on clients needs)Terms of the role- £12.60 per hour- Paid annual leaveFemales only need apply as permitted under Schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act “Please note Capability Scotland isn’t the employer we are only acting on behalf of our client.
