DV-Cleared Application Support Engineer – Contract – Cheltenham – On-SiteHays Technology is recruiting an Application Support Engineer for a secure, on-site contract role in Cheltenham. This position is outside IR35 and requires active DV clearance.Rate: £550–£650/dayLocation: Cheltenham (3/4 days/week on-site)Duration: ContractClearance: Must hold live DV clearanceRole OverviewJoin a specialist team maintaining a cross-domain managed service using modern Application Support practices. You'll support deployments, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues across a diverse tech stack.ResponsibilitiesBuild and deploy code using Java, Maven, NPM, Terraform, and AnsibleManage CI pipelines and automated testing (Cypress)Monitor services with InfluxDB and GrafanaProvide 2nd/3rd line support and incident responsePerform OS patching, database housekeeping, and data centre opsRequired SkillsExperience in managed service environmentsStrong Java or similar development backgroundGit version controlStrong problem-solving andmunication skillsDesirable SkillsMicroservices, AMQP, S3, Oracle, Terraform/AnsiblePlease note: All offers are subject to security screening.
