Trainee Paraplanner

Job description My client is a growing chartered financial planning business and they are currently looking for a Trainee Paraplanner to join their firm in Chorley. About the roleTo accurately interpret the adviser's client files to ascertain the client's needs and advisers instructions to translate this successfully into a Financial Planning ReportTo carry out appropriate research and analysis to determine the most suitable providers, products and investment funds to meet the client's needsTo liaise with the Technical Team Leader in the first instance to ensure that they are kept up to date as to the nature of advice being passed through paraplanningTo liaise with the Compliance Team in regard to work that requires pre-sale authorisationTo prepare the report within an agreed timescaleTo ensure that the Financial Planning Reports are accurate in regard to spelling and compositionTo ensure that recorded data is accurate and updated on a regular basis (Paraplanning log)Commit to a Personal Development Plan and maintain all standards of performance as required by the firm About youWorking towards Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning (Level 4)Understanding of UK financial regulatory framework and legislationGood communication skills, both written and verbalGood computer skills, proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPointGood interpersonal skills, collaborative working style and commitment to completing tasks in a timely and efficient mannerHigh level of attention to detailA demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplaceAbility to work within a teamAbility to progress under the supervision of the Technical Team LeaderAbility to multitask and prioritise work effectivelyCapable of operating in a fast paced and challenging environmentMain benefits:Competitive salary28 days holidays (plus Bank holidays)Supported learning and development1 hour early finish Fridays along with Friday dress downWork Place PensionExam and study leaveStaff spot bonus (monthly nominations)Employee Assistance Programme
