This is a new opportunity for an Analog/Mixed Signal Lead Design Engineer to join a solid and growing Semiconductor company based in Edinburgh working on low-power, high-performance Analog/Mixed Signal IC Designs in advanced CMOS processes for consumer applications. In this role you will be joining the team developing high-performance data converter IC's and amplifiers and you will be involved in the design of high-performance delta-sigma/SAR ADC’s and DAC’s as well as participating in the design of various classes of amplifiers, DC/DC converters, and other circuitry in advanced CMOS processes. Responsibilities include: Drive and decide key technical system requirements for mixed-signal IC development Build the analog toplevel, defining power strategy and toplevel layout Simulation of toplevel systems in Virtuoso Spectre Lead design reviews Mentoring other engineers Review and sign-off of the chip top level for tape out Masters or PhD qualified in Electronic Engineering or Microelectronics, you will have relevant experience in Analog/Mixed signal CMOS circuit design along with a good knowledge of Analog IC Design fundamentals on sub-micron CMOS processes and a solid understanding of using Verilog-A, System Verilog or Matlab. Experience is required in ADC/DAC and or DC/DC designs along with experience in ESD and IO driver design. Excellent communication skills are required with the ability to work well in a team and thrive in a dynamic environment. You will be organised, thorough and detailed with a high level of self-motivation, strong analytical and problem solving skills.  Excellent benefits are on offer plus the chance to join a well-established team with strong retention rates, working on advanced technology in one of the main semiconductor hubs of the UK.
