Job description Job Title: PMLD Teaching Assistant – Secondary School Location: Bordon Start Date: November 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Salary: Competitive, dependent on experienceAbout the Role: A welcoming secondary school in Bordon is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This full-time role begins in November 2025 and offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with young people who require specialist support in their education. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with PMLD. Assist with personal care and mobility needs, following individual care plans. Support students in accessing a sensory-based curriculum tailored to their needs. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver inclusive learning. Promote independence, communication, and engagement in all activities. Requirements: Experience supporting young people with PMLD or complex needs is highly desirable. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to care and learning. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Willingness to undertake relevant training (, manual handling, communication aids).
