This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on, practical environment and is passionate about supporting students' creative and practical learning.Key Responsibilities Include:Preparing, setting up and maintaining equipment, ingredients, and materials for Food and DT lessonsEnsuring classrooms, machinery, and tools are safe, clean, and ready for useAssisting teachers during lessons and supporting students with practical tasks where appropriateMonitoring stock levels, placing orders, and managing the safe storage of resourcesEnsuring compliance with health and safety regulations across the departmentContributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the Food and DT areasThe Ideal Candidate Will:Have previous experience in a technician role, catering, DT workshop environment, or similar practical settingBe confident with kitchen equipment, tools, and basic maintenanceDemonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detailHave a good understanding of health and safety requirementsBe a team player who can work independently and proactivelyBring enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to support a busy and dynamic departmentIn return, the school offers a friendly, supportive environment with excellent facilities and a strong commitment to staff development.
