Job description Do you have a nurturing, patient, and innovative approach to helping students re-engage with learning?At Prospero Teaching, we are looking for dedicated and compassionate Tutors to join our expanding team in Bournemouth and the surrounding areas this September. Our tutors provide 1:1 support to learners who may have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and or/ Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Many of these young people may be out of mainstream education and in need of a tailored, therapeutic approach to learning. Location: Bournemouth / Hours – to be confirmed / Pay £25-£30 depending on experience As a Tutor, you will: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, personalised sessions. Support students across English, Maths, and possibly Science. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback. Maintain accurate weekly records on attendance and progress. Build strong, trusting relationships with learners. Demonstrate patience, empathy, creativity, and adaptability. Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience working within UK schools – essential. Experience supporting students with SEN/SEMH. Right to work in the UK. Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate (on the Update Service or willing to apply for one).
