Derby, United Kingdom Prospero Teaching Full time

Job description KS3/4 SEN Teaching Assistant FULL TIME, UNTIL JULY 2026 – STARTING IMMEDIATELY This school is a specialist provision for young people who need that little extra support and guidance. Students at this school can pose challenges but staff who are calm, patient, resilient and caring will make huge differences in this setting. There is lots of training available for the successful position and our SLT run regular CPD for all staff. This role would be ideal for someone considering teacher training for September 2026. The role of a TA is much more “all encompassing” and you will provide some academic support, some 1:1 mentoring, and some “crisis intervention” to support students who need intervention. This is a full time role and will run until July 2026. Standards are high and the young people in the school are supported from day one with a uniform approach by teachers and support staff, and a calm, positive environment is noticed from the moment you enter the school.
