Job Title: Social Worker – Learning Disabilities TeamLocation: WandsworthRate: £32 per hour Richmond and Wandsworth Councils are looking for experienced, qualified post ASYE Social Workers to join our Learning Disability Team. The team consists of Service Managers, Assistant Service Managers, Senior Social Workers, Social Workers, and Social Care Assessors who work across the boroughs. Our focus is to provide a holistic, personalised, strength-based service to residents over the age of 18. Responsibilities:As a Social Worker in the Learning Disabilities Team, you will undertake assessments of individual and carer needs to encourage independence and provide support. You will work in partnership with service users and carers using a person-centred approach to maximize independence and wellbeing. Your role includes applying social work principles and values, working within statutory frameworks, and maintaining professional practice standards. You will engage in supervision, apply critical reflection to inform decisions, and manage a reasonable caseload. The team is committed to staff development through the Adult Social Care Academy.
