Job Description: This award winning client is seeking a Principal Bridge Engineer to join an established team in either their West or North Yorkshire offices. A Principal Bridge Engineer is required to take a lead role within this superb design consultancy. Your role will be to take charge of a team in the appraisal, assessment, and design of bridge structures. You will provide detailed designs, from preliminary to final stage including the outline of cost estimates. You will be expected to liaise closely with your client to provide regular project updates. As a Principal Bridge Engineer you will be expected to provide technical guidance and leadership to ensure high standards are adhered to and that the service delivered continuously exceeds client expectations. Person Specification: The successful applicant for this role will be degree qualified, Chartered or nearing Chartership in Civil/Structural Engineer with a strong technical background in bridge engineering complimented with the confidence and ability to lead from the front to ensure project delivery. Ideally you will have gained a diverse range of design and project management experience in bridge engineering delivering schemes for Local Authorities and the Highways Agency. You will be someone who is a good communicator and quality focused in everything you do.
