With a supportive culture, a focus on development and a variety of high-profile projects, they offer the chance to build a rewarding and long-term career. ________________________________________ About the Role As a Senior Structural Engineer you will take responsibility for the design and delivery of a wide range of building projects. You will be involved from concept through to completion, carrying out hands-on design, supervising junior staff, and liaising with clients to ensure successful outcomes. The role offers scope to mentor engineers and technicians, as well as the chance to contribute to design proposals and fee quotes. ________________________________________ The key requirements for this Senior Structural Engineer role are: - Deliver concrete and steel frame designs across medium to high-rise developments and refurbishment projects - Carry out design calculations using industry software such as MasterSeries, Tekla, CSC Fastrak or Strand7 - Prepare, review and oversee technical drawings, supervising CAD Technicians where required - Contribute to fee proposals, design quotes and technical reports - Work collaboratively with geotechnical, civil and infrastructure engineers - Attend client meetings to discuss project needs, resolve design issues and build relationships - Mentor and supervise graduates, engineers and technicians, reviewing their work and supporting their development ________________________________________ Experience required for this Senior Structural Engineer role are: - BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering (minimum 5 years post-graduate experience) - Chartered or working towards chartered status with IStructE or ICE - Strong hands-on design experience across concrete and steel structures - Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously - Excellent written and verbal communication skills ________________________________________ Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Senior Structural Engineer role are: - Proven background delivering projects across residential, commercial, refurbishment and industrial sectors - Strong client-facing experience, including attending design meetings and presentations - Experience mentoring or line-managing junior staff ________________________________________ Package and Benefits of the Senior Structural Engineer role: - Competitive salary package with twice-yearly reviews - 4% contributory pension scheme and 2x life insurance - Enhanced sickness pay scheme - Up to 26 days' holiday plus option to purchase additional leave - Flexible working with adaptable start and finish times - Discounted health cash plan - Cycle to work scheme and electric car scheme - Regular social, community and fundraising events to support a collaborative team culture ________________________________________
