This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, being on the road, and taking pride in contributing to the delivery of safe, high-quality water across Suffolk.About the RoleAs a Water Sampling Technician, you will be responsible for collecting water samples from a range of locations including treatment works, reservoirs, and customer properties. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring that water quality standards are met and maintained.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out all sampling activities in line with Scientific Services Quality Manual and proceduresFollow a pre-determined sampling programme across SuffolkPlan and organise your daily workload to ensure samples are returned to the laboratory within set timescalesPerform daily maintenance and calibration of sampling and testing equipmentCommunicate professionally with customers and site contactsAccurately complete all paperwork and documentation within agreed timeframesParticipate in standby, weekend, and rota duties where requiredAbout YouPrevious water sampling or field-based experience is desirable but not essentialExcellent attention to detail with strong record-keeping skillsFull UK driving licence (no more than 6 points) is essentialEnjoy working outdoors, travelling independently, and interacting with a variety of peopleReliable, organised, and motivated to deliver high-quality workPlease note: This position is subject to a DBS check.If you are looking for a role with autonomy, variety, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on water quality for local communities, we would love to hear from youApply today to join Essex and Suffolk Water through Pertemps.
