A position has become available in the School Transport Team for a Senior Transport Co-ordination Officer.The post is within the team managing the home to school transport for special schools and social care (children) funded passengers.The team consists of seven Transport Officers (School Transport) and three Assistant Transport Officers (social Care). The area of school transport involves assessing entitlement to education funded transport, implementing suitable transport and managing the transport networks. For the area of social care transport, transport requests are made to the team to implement and manage those transport arrangements.Duties for the Senior Transport Co-ordination Officer (STCO) include supervising the team, being the first point of contact for team members and escalated cases, training staff, supporting the team with decision making for high-cost transport arrangements, and deputising for the Team Leader.
