As Materials Planner you’ll report into the Procurement Manager for a food manufacturing business. My client manufacturers quality food and is expanding rapidly, it’s a great time to join their business as they grow their operation and invest in their future. This role will suit a professional who has worked in a Materials Planner role or similar for a UK Food or a FMCG manufacturing business. Day-to-day you’ll help manage and track the businesses inventory to ensure there are no stockouts and material is always available. You’ll manage forecasted sales and production levels for all materials that are needed, this will include tracking inventory delivery performance and response time, as well as capacity planning and other logistics projects. Additionally, you’ll manage the purchasing process, creating/managing inventory budgets, ensure that inventory levels meet demand, and gather data to prepare trends and forecasting reports for colleagues, management, and other stakeholders. To qualify for consideration, you’ll need, To have worked as a Material Planner or a similar role with MRP/ERP experience Project management experience from conception to delivery To be able to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management Strong client-facing and teamwork skills Strong MS Office, spreadsheets and database management skills This is a hybrid role with two days working from home and three days in the office.
