This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs, supporting their learning and development in a nurturing environment. About the RoleYou will work closely with a named pupil with special educational needs, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum and thrive in the classroom. The role may involve working across different year groups and adapting to a range of needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEND, both in and outside the classroomImplement strategies outlined in the pupil’s EHCP or support planAssist with learning activities, emotional regulation, and social interactionLiaise with teachers, SENCO, and external professionalsPromote inclusion and a positive learning experience What We’re Looking ForExperience working with children with SEND, ideally in a school settingA patient, empathetic, and flexible approachStrongmunication and teamwork skillsUnderstanding of safeguarding and child protectionRelevant qualifications ( Level 2/3 TA, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable.
