Role Overview: As a Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health care to adults in Glamorgan and surrounding areas. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients experiencing a wide range of psychiatric conditions. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations of adult patients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs and circumstances. Provide therapeutic interventions, including medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention, as appropriate. Monitor patients’ progress and response to treatment, making adjustments as necessary. Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care delivery. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and clinical supervision sessions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Requirements: Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC). Demonstrated experience working as a Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry. Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to upholding professional standards and ethical principles in psychiatric practice. Eligibility to work in the UK.
