Actuary – Reinsurance (Motor), London, UK Employment Type: Full-time About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Actuary to join our London-based reinsurance team. This role will focus on Motor reinsurance, with a particular emphasis on Fleet, Commercial Package, and Agricultural Vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the UK insurance market and work closely with underwriters to develop pricing strategies, assess risk, and provide analytical support. Key Responsibilities: Develop and enhance actuarial models to support motor reinsurance pricing and risk assessment. Collaborate with underwriters to analyze and price risks across Fleet, Commercial Package, and Agricultural Vehicles. Provide data-driven insights to support underwriting decisions and portfolio management. Monitor market trends, claims data, and regulatory developments to refine pricing strategies. Conduct profitability analysis and loss forecasting for motor reinsurance portfolios. Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management, underwriters, and other stakeholders. Key Requirements: Experience in Motor insurance/reinsurance actuarial work is essential. Knowledge of Fleet, Commercial Package, and Agricultural Vehicles is a strong advantage. Strong understanding of the UK insurance and reinsurance market. Proficiency in actuarial software and data analytics tools (, R, Python, Excel, SQL). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work closely with underwriters and cross-functional teams.
