Are you an empathetic Occupational Therapist who has experience in Paediatrics? Pulse is now seeking a band 5/6 Occupational Therapist to work within a paediatric service at an innovative NHS trust in Carshalton, Surrey. The post can start as soon as possible, with 3.5 hours and an initial 5-month period. To be considered for this role, applying therapists must have previous experience working within a paediatric setting. The successful occupational therapist will have the opportunity to significantly impact children’s lives by fostering their independence, promoting developmental milestones, and addressing challenges related to sensory processing, motor skills, and daily activities. The successful candidate will collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care. Some duties within this post will include: Ensuring that young people are prepared for the transition to adult life Fine motor assessments Managing own caseload efficiently Treating patients with complex needs, learning difficulties or biomechanical problems Liaising with other healthcare professionals Skills and experience needed: Relevant degree/qualifications in occupational therapy Current HCPC registration Previous experience working within a Paediatric service – Ideally NHS Encouraging attitude Ability to think outside the box Be compassionate and empathetic Good team work skills What next?
