We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) to join our team at a supportive and inclusive school in Walton-On-Thames. ELSA - Emotional Literacy Support Assistant | About the Role: As an ELSA, you will work closely with students to support their emotional development and provide one-to-one or small group interventions for children experiencing emotional, social, or behavioural challenges. You will help students build their self-esteem, manage emotions, and improve their social skills, contributing to a positive and nurturing learning environment in Walton-On-Thames. ELSA - Emotional Literacy Support Assistant | Key Responsibilities: * Provide emotional and social support to individual students or small groups * Deliver tailored ELSA interventions to enhance emotional well-being and resilience * Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCO to track and assess student progress * Support students with developing key skills in emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction * Liaise with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure the best possible support for students ELSA - Emotional Literacy Support Assistant | About You: * Experience working with children in a school setting (ideally as an ELSA or in a similar role) * Strong understanding of child development and emotional literacy * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting students’ well-being * ELSA training (or willingness to complete it) is desirable but not essential ELSA - Emotional Literacy Support Assistant | Why Join Us: * A supportive and welcoming school environment * Opportunities for professional development and training * A chance to make a real difference in students' emotional and social development If you are passionate about helping children thrive emotionally and socially, we would love to hear from you.
