Are you a Site Agent looking for a change to work for a civil engineering contractor who are forward thinking and ethical minded?

Are you a Sub Agent being held back by your current company with intentions of making that next step up to Site Agent?

A civil engineering contractor is seeking to add a Site Agent or an experienced Sub Agent to their large scale civil engineering scheme in Hampshire. As the Site Agent on this project, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, liaising with the commercial team and chairing weekly meetings ensuring progress is on schedule.

My client is a reputable business with a renowned employee retention rate. This allows them to draw and retain staff, ultimately creating a positive working environment for every member of staff.

The projects they can offer are extremely interesting; with plenty more secured in the forward order book, my client is not looking to slow down anytime soon.

As the Site Agent, your duties will be (but not limited to):

  • Overseeing all on site operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required specification.
  • Managing subcontractors, tradespeople, and labour crews across multiple disciplines.
  • Conducting daily site inspections, identifying issues, and implementing corrective measures.
  • Ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, design, and health and safety regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation, look-aheads, and reports for the project.
  • Liaising with clients, senior project teams, and other stakeholders to raise any concerns.
  • Devise lift plans if AP qualified.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
  • Experience in heavy civils, deep drainage, and RC works.
  • SMSTS.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Previous experience in a similar role (ideally major projects or tier 1 contractor experience).
