Meraki Talent is working with a Top 10 chartered accountancy firm based in Scotland who are currently seeking an experienced VAT Manager ready to take that step up in their career to Senior Manager, or an already established Senior Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing firm with a realistic progression opportunity to Director. The firm sit within the top 10 Accountancy firms with several offices spread throughout the world. They work with large multinational corporates, groups, listed, AIM listed clients and large private owned and owner managed businesses also. The role: Providing VAT advisory and compliance services to clients across a range of industries and sectors. Managing a portfolio of clients and building and maintaining client relationships. Managing and mentoring junior members of the team. Working with other teams within the firm to provide a joined-up service to clients. Keeping up to date with changes in VAT legislation and advising clients accordingly. Experience: A qualified accountant or tax professional with a minimum of 3 years' experience in VAT. Experience in providing VAT advisory and compliance services to clients. Strong technical knowledge of VAT legislation and the ability to apply it to client situations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues. Ability to manage and mentor junior members of the team.
