Material & Characterisation Scientist CK Group are recruiting for a Material and Characterisation Scientist to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 18 months. Salary: up to £16.63 per hour PAYE or up to £18.64 per hour PAYE Material and Characterisation Scientist Role: Carrying out experiments to characterise and compare different suppliers of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) using a range of analytical methods.Design and execute laboratory experiments to appropriately characterise materials.Perform experiments in accordance with good laboratory practices (GLP), established business processes and protocols, and applicable SOPs.Participate in laboratory processes including My Green Lab and 5S.Summarize results in a technical report. Your Background: Bachelor's Degree in relevant scientific field i.e. Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences.Ability to work independently, and to document results and data conclusions through presentations and technical reports.Excellent oral and written communication skills, with emphasis on clarity of communication.Ability to follow departmental procedures, with excellent attention to detail.Highly motivated, self-directed, and pro-active attitude.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and ability to deliver to strict timelines whilst effectively balancing multiple priorities.Company: Our client is one of the world's premier innovative biopharmaceutical companies, discovering, developing and providing over 160 different medicines, vaccines and consumer healthcare products to help improve the lives of millions of people in the UK and around the world every year.
