We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in Gastro on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Gastro department.Our client are one of the UK's biggest and most innovative trusts. From flexible hours and generous benefits, to next level training, we make it easier to take your career to the topThe successful appointee will be asked to fulfil various duties, such as: the current gastroenterologists in providing outpatient and inpatient clinical support to the general gastroenterology service, will take part in the emergency on call rota on a 1 in 8 basis, the appointee will contribute to the emergency medical and GI bleeding on call services, the appointee will work with medical, nursing and managerial colleagues to ensure high performance in regards of performance management, responsibility for the appraisal of all doctors in training, Trust doctors and non-consultant grades as delegated by the Clinical Director, participation in clinical audit, incident reporting and analysis and to ensure resulting actions are implemented & to work collaboratively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, other clinical and non-clinical directorates.
