Job description Prospero Taching are looking for some committed, enthusiastic and easy going learning support assistants located in Merthyr Tydfil and the surrounding areas for the new school year. Ideally the perfect candidates would have worked as a teaching assistant in the past. Also having experience working with SEN/SEND children. This could be based in both mainstream and special education schools. Working in learning resource bases (LRB’s) within mainstream education and in certain profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) schools. Any people handling/ additional training would be desireable but not essential. Location – Merthyr Tydfil Position – Teaching Assistants Type of work – To support in all aspects of learning. Aiding those with additional needs. Contract or position start date – ASAP Duration / Likely Duration – Long term employment Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Temporary Full time/part time – Full time Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £ per day Hours – 8:30 am – 15:30pm : Mon – Fri (term time only) EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Experience of working with children/adults with additional needs. Good behaviour management skills Up to date Safeguarding and Prevent training issued in the last year The candidate will need to be quite sporty and willing to take children out of lessons to play from time to time. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references OTHER
