The Quality Assurance Officer role is an office-based role, working with multiple departments including Production, Operations and Warehousing. This exciting opportunity would be well suited to a Food QA professional who wants to develop their experience into other product types and markets. Role / Description Internal auditing of the production facilities to ensure regulatory complianceRespond to customer queries promptly, with timely completion of required documentation such as customer questionnairesHandle customer complaints, ensuring effective management through to completionMaintain and update product specifications for new and existing productsConduct supplier assurance and risk assessment evaluationsInfrequent travel to supplier sites globally (realistically a maximum of 5 times a year)Liaise with multiple internal departments to translate complex information succinctlySupport with external regulatory audits (e.g. BRC and FSA)Other quality assurance tasks as required to support the team.RequirementsRecent direct experience in Food Quality Assurance, in either a manufacturer or food ingredients distributorProven recent experience leading or supporting BRC and FSA auditsDegree-level qualified (or equivalent) in Food Science or a closely related subjectAn obvious passion for food science and/or the wider food industryExcellent communication skills, possessing the ability to translate complex informationOrganised and process-driven with high attention to detailFull, clean UK driving licence.
