You will be part of the team that owns and manages projects to cover complex extraction, anlaysis, cleansing and processing of pensions data to create better outcomes by bringing technical experience and leading on key projects, cyclical activities and scheme events to ensure they are completed in line with procedural and client requirements and within service level agreements.You will have experience of working on a variety of occupational pension schemes with the ability to lead on the delivery of assigned projects and schemes. This role is perfect if you are an existing Senior Pensions Technician looking to work within a project-based role.In return Pensions Solutions will give you a clear succession plan to further your career.Job title:Home Based Senior Pensions Data TechnicianJob Description:What you'll be doing:Key responsibilitiesTo work with the Scheme Events Leads and Scheme Event Manager to deliver requirements for Scheme Events and Projects (time scales, deliverables, quality, sign off) and to input into the planning process.To review the work of Pensions Data Technicians and provide feedback and technical support.To be responsible for the accuracy and quality of Scheme Events and Projects.To correspond and build working relationships with clients and Capita colleagues.Regularly review the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and controls and make suggestions to continually enhance service delivery, improve processes and reduce potential complaints and business risks.Adhere to Quality Management Systems and comply with pensions and FCA regulations and initiatives, for example, Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)Key tasksTo lead on the delivery of assigned projects and scheme events.To promote the provision of a first class experience for customers and to share knowledge and expertise with other team members.Performs data processes, including the following:Running and specifying data extracts from the administration system including bespoke reports.Transforming extracted data or data received into the required format and structurePerforming and specifying data uploads to the administration systemBuilding Mail Merge lettersPerforming bulk calculations in ExcelBuilding and enhancing Excel templates and macros for regular jobsCreating audit trails of all work and communications using the Team's best practice.Testing bulk communications and calculations using the Team's best practice.Providing project updates and time scales to Scheme Events Leads, Project Managers and Scheme Event ManagerWhat we're looking for:EssentialDB pensions scheme experienceTechnical pensions calculations/analysisBulk data analysisPension administration and work management systemsAccuracy, attention to detail and quality managementExcel - Demonstrate the ability to use filters, sorting, pivot tables (rows, columns, grouping, filters and totalling).Excel - Can use formulas including lookups, IF and nested IF statements, date calculations and formatting of cells to specific guidelines.Excel - Can import data/text files and use data validationProject Management SkillsA Level Maths or Degree with maths element or Work experience involving complex data analysisDesirablePMI QualificationsAbout Capita Pension SolutionsAt Capita Pension Solutions (CPS) we continue to grow and evolve our Strategy & Product function.
