Job description
As a Utility Survey Technician at Milestone Infrastructure Limited, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and successful delivery of works across Suffolk Highways. Working closely with the Construction and Operational teams, as well as the supply chain, you will be responsible for controlling the risks associated with underground and overhead apparatus. Your contribution will be instrumental in maintaining a strong safety record for Suffolk Highways, while minimizing the impact on operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake utility assessments for underground and overhead apparatus Advise on safety precautions for safe excavation practices Produce sketches of service locations for future reference Issue permits to dig and accurately report details in site permit registers Mark utility locations on-site and refresh existing locations when necessary Meet with stakeholder representatives to agree on details of GS6 reports Undertake appropriate training to enhance knowledge of underground and overhead utility marking Contribute to health and safety investigations and provide immediate reports on findings following incidents or near missesKey Requirements:
Significant experience in surveying SMSTS qualification NRSWA qualification SEATS qualification Operational experience Site supervision/lead experienceBenefits:
