Your newpany A well-established business based in Sheffield is looking to appoint a Senior Payroll Assistant to support its expanding payroll function. This permanent role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth and accurate delivery of payroll services, working closely with both the finance and HR teams to maintainpliance and efficiency.Your new roleIn this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering a reliable and timely payroll service across both weekly and monthly cycles. Key duties include:Processing payroll and employee expenses with precision and punctualityVerifying and approving expense claims in line withpany policyHandling payroll administration and generating reports as requiredMaintaining accurate payroll records and data integrityAdvising HR and employees on payroll-related queries and proceduresEnsuringpliance with current legislation and internal policiesReviewing and enhancing payroll processes to drive efficiencyWhat you'll need to succeed To excel in this role, you’ll bring:Strong working knowledge of payroll systems and UK payroll legislationExcellent attention to detail and strong organisational skillsProficiency in Excel and experience withputerised payroll softwareConfidentmunication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solvingPrevious experience in a payroll-focused role, ideally within a busy finance environment What you'll get in return Apetitive salary of £32,000–£35,000, depending on experience25 days’ holiday plus bank holidaysFlexible working optionsAccess to coaching, mentoring, and ongoing professional development If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
