Test Technician
The Test Technician will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient production of technology and equipment crucial to the company's operations. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Engineer will be responsible for various tasks aimed at maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in the production process.
Test Technician Key Responsibilities:
Completing complex electrical wiring tasks and assembling systems, sub-components, and panel wiring to a competent level Utilising oscilloscopes and similar electronics test equipment to ensure the functionality and reliability of electronic components Assembly and inspection of underwater pressure vessel seals and connectors, adhering to strict safety and quality standards Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the implementation of enhancements in production methods and practices Generating technical reports to document production processes, test results, and any issues encountered during assembly or testing Testing, fault-finding, and repairing complex printed circuit boards and electronic modules down to the component levelTest Technician Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is essential A qualification in a relevant engineering discipline is required Proficiency in complex electrical wiring and electronics schematic diagrams Working knowledge of electronics test equipment, such as oscilloscopes Ability to test, fault-find, and repair equipment efficiently and accurately Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementThe Test Technician role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's mission of providing innovative solutions to the offshore energy industry.
