HGV Class 2 Driver – Covered Car Transporter

HGV Class-2 Driver – Covered Car Transporter with possibility of HGV Class-1 Training/Promotion1 Opening based from our Corby (Sywell) site. Experience: Experience: Driving a HGV Class-2 Vehicle minimum 1 year (essential for insurance purposes). Preference will be given to drivers with Car Transporter experience but not essential as training will be given to those with exemplary driving records and a passion for delivering great customer service. If successful you would be trained to operate a 2-Car Covered Transporter. After a successful probation period, you may be offered advancement to HGV Class-1 level to drive one of our 6-Car Covered Car Transporters. We are a high-end Vehicle delivery service offering collection and deliveries of prestige motor vehicles across the UK and Europe (Euro jobs optional). Working on behalf of blue-chip high-profile customers, you will be using our fleet of enclosed car transporters to carry out your daily duties of vehicle delivery. A good eye for detail is paramount and you must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills for this high end, customer facing role. Role Requirements Valid HGV Class C or CE Driving Licence for minimum 1-year (Insurance requirement) Valid CPC Valid Tacho Card Ability to pass CRB/DBS checks. Ability to pass a Drugs and Alcohol test. Clear communication skills Tech Savvy Well presented at all times Team player The ability to follow process and procedures written records and digital handover for both customer and the company. A positive, ‘can-do’ attitude Customer focused. Flexible and reliable Detail conscious Skills Driving a HGV Class-2/1 Truck, 1 year minimum (for insurance purposes) No more than 6 points for minor SP traffic offences Excellent communication skills Tech savvy Car Transporter Driving experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided. Role Responsibilities The timely & safe delivery of customer vehicles by ensuring they are secured correctly within our transporters. All legislation in relation to tachograph and driver’s hours must be followed. As a Brand Ambassador you will be smart and presentable. The successful candidate will have a customer first approach and will be excited about the essential part you play in making your customer’s ‘New Car Day’ a special and immersive experience. Shift patterns predominantly run on a Monday to Friday basis, however, the ideal candidate must be willing to work occasional nights out as well as occasional weekends due to customer requirements and the geography we cover. Location: Sywell, near Corby (you will start and finish work here unless on nights out).
