The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs (including Autism, ADHD, speech and language, and social/emotional needs). Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs). Support pupils to engage with learning activities, develop social skills, and build confidence. Create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment. Help monitor and record pupils’ progress, reporting observations to staff and parents where required. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting (EYFS, KS1 or KS2). A patient, caring, and flexible approach. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively as part of a team. An up-to-date Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one through us).
