Early Years Teaching Assistant – Level 3 Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Hours:Term-time only, Monday–Friday, 11:15am–6:00pm Salary: £25,035 – £25,454 (FTE) – PermanentStart Date: September 2025You will play a key role within an outstanding, purpose-built Early Years department, directly supporting Early Years Teachers to nurture a love of learning in Reception class and assisting with the After School Club. Reporting to the Head of Early Years, you will work closely with the Reception class teacher to support children’s learning and development through engaging activities, daily routines, and classroom organisation. As part of the After School Club team, you will also plan and lead activities for children in the Early Years After School provision. What You’ll Do:Support Reception class learning through small group and 1:1 activitiesDeliver phonics, literacy, numeracy, and creative sessionsUse online journals ( Tapestry) to track and support children’s developmentCreate a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environmentPlan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities during After School Club hours.
