Mediplacements are currently looking to recruit an experienced Band 8A Oncology Pharmacist for a locum role in London. The pay for this position is £28-£40 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration. In this role, you will be responsible for advising healthcare professionals on the appropriate use of chemotherapy and other cancer treatments, monitoring patients for adverse drug reactions, and providing information and advice to patients and their families on the use of cancer medications and their potential side effects. Experience required: Haematology or Oncology experience, Expert knowledge and experience of advanced therapies, Demonstrate the ability to appropriately recommend, substantiate and communicate therapeutic options for patients. Active experience of using computerised labelling and stock control systems. Comprehensive experience as a clinical pharmacist practitioner - this must include a solid grounding in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice (medicine information, aseptic services, ward services and dispensing, including clinical trials. Successful candidates must hold an MPharm degree, be GPHC registered and have experience working in an oncology setting.
