Known for supporting both major infrastructure projects and local developments, it has built a reputation for reliability, sustainability, andprehensive solutions across the construction industry.Your new role Experienced Quarry Manager required to oversee operations at one of their Norfolk sites. This role involves managing daily activities to ensure maximum productivity, minimal downtime, and consistent product quality, while maintainingpliance with environmental and health & safety legislation.Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day quarry operations, ensuring efficiency andpliancePrepare risk assessments and method statements, ensuring staff are trained accordinglyOrganise staff schedules and holidays to maintain adequate labour levelsLiaise with site staff and management to ensure tasks arepleted to a high standardMaintain accurate staff timesheets and provide updates to the Area ManagerConduct site inductions for new employees and ensure PPE/equipment is issuedDeliver regular training sessions, including toolbox talksBuild strong working relationships with transport, materials, management teams, landowners, and neighboursOversee plant maintenance and ensure operatorsplete required checksInvestigate accidents/incidents in collaboration with the Health & Safety ManagerWhat you'll need to succeed Proven experience managing a quarry, landfill, or similar operationStrongmunication and problem-solving skillsMethodical, flexible, and proactive approach to tasksProficiency in MS OfficeEffective scheduling and organisational skillsStrong leadership and project management abilitiesIn-depth knowledge of health & safety legislationWhat you'll get in return 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)Benefit platform accessCycle-to-work schemeCareer development opportunities.
