It operates as part of a medium-sized team, offering a professional environment dedicated to excellence in its field.Job DescriptionThe Assistant Accountant duties include:Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.Assist with administration of the key Balance Sheet functions, Inventory, Fixed Assets, Right of Use Assets, Intangible Assets.Support the reconciliation of accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records.Process month end journals such as accruals, prepayments, additions, disposals etc.Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline financial processes.Provide support for audits and liaise with external auditors as required.Contribute to the preparation of tax returns and other statutory requirements.The Successful ApplicantThe successful Assistant Accountant should have:Relevant academic qualifications in accounting or finance (fully AAT qualified or part qualified in CIMA or ACCA)Demonstrable prior experience within month end finance processesProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.Ability to work effectively within a team environment.Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all financial matters.What's on OfferThe successful Assistant Accountant shall receive:Competitive salary between £26,000 and £28,000 per annum.Study Support packageHybrid working pattern of 4 in, 1 out on a weekly basisPermanent role offering stability and career growth.On site parking25 days holiday excluding bank holidays5% employer pension contributionComprehensive benefits package to support personal and professional well-being.If you are ready to advance your career as an Assistant Accountant in the Technology & Telecoms industry, apply today to join this exciting opportunity in Reading.
