Job Description Full Time – Monday–Friday – Approx. 8:30am–15:30pmPay to scale (dependent on experience and qualifications) The Role New Directions are looking for a resilient and compassionate Functional Skills Teacher to deliver KS3 and KS4 subjects within a supportive SEND school on the Wirral. You will play a key role in adapting lessons, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, and promoting positive learning experiences. Teaching in a SEND environment is incredibly rewarding, but it requires patience, consistency and the ability to build trust with pupils who may have SEMH needs, ASC, ADHD or learning difficulties. Requirements To be considered for the position, you will need to: Hold QTS and ideally have experience teaching Functional Skills Have experience supporting pupils with SEND such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, EBD Be confident adapting lessons to meet varying needs Demonstrate strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills Be committed to helping young people progress both academically and personally New Directions Education is committed to safeguarding children and young people.
