Specialist Speech and Language Therapist Salary: £45 - £51 / Hour Job type: Day to Day CoverLocation: Merton Save Share Apply now Merton is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join a well-structured and dynamic team in a special school for children aged 4- 19. The client offers part-time and full-time contracts and a manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio. The vacancy will be for an initial 3 - 6 months with potential for extension. Main Duties for the includesAssess children and develop/implement specialist speech and language therapy treatment to ensure that the Council achieves its strategic aims for all pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.Contribute to the LB Merton policy and approach to raising achievement and establishing provision for all pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.Provide a specialist speech and language therapy service to Merton schools and settings.Work as a member of the Merton Speech and Language Therapy Service and SENDIS and so contribute to building the capacity of Merton Schools to include pupils with SEN and disabilities.Supporting pupils in a special school for children with PMLD and complex needs.
