Subcontractor Procurement Lead

Job ref: BBBH4188_1762166710 Published: about 8 hours ago Startdate: 24/11/2025 A leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is looking for a Subcontract Procurement Lead to take ownership of the subcontract procurement process across a range of major projects.You'll be responsible for managing tender enquiries, negotiating with key supply chain partners, and ensuring subcontract packages deliver the best technical and commercial outcomes. This is a key strategic role, working closely with estimating, commercial, and project delivery teams to maintain strong supplier relationships and drive value throughout the project lifecycle.What you'll do:Lead the full procurement process from enquiry to awardManage and develop the approved supply chainReview tender returns and carry out commercial evaluationsEnsure subcontractor compliance with HSEQ and insurance requirementsSupport continuous improvement of procurement systems and processesWhat we're looking for:Proven experience in subcontract procurement within a civil engineering or construction environmentStrong negotiation and commercial awarenessKnowledge of construction contracts and tendering proceduresProficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with procurement systems advantageousHNC/Degree qualified preferred | MCIPS desirableThis is a great opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong project pipeline and genuine career progression potential.Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
