Hampshire, United Kingdom Snap Childcare Full time

client/child: Noah 11, lives with his two little brothers, one little sister, and phenomenal parents. When you first meet Noah, you will be greeted with the cheekiest of smiles and his very sparkly personality; he is the most sociable boy you will ever meet Noah is always up for a laugh and is great fun to be around. He can have moments of stubbornness; Noah has limited expressive language, so can be frustrated at times either when he doesn’t want to do something or is trying to be understood. He adores being out and about and there are great places, clubs, and activities available in his local area and beyond. At home, he loves baking or being in the garden where he has a fab swing and trampoline. Noah has Cerebral Palsy affecting all four limbs. He is a full-time wheelchair user and requires personal care. He has epilepsy which is controlled. Most of his nutrition is via his PEG but he does have a blended diet – and he loves food. At school, he uses an Eye Gaze, and this is being introduced at home. Noah can and will make his needs known, by the word ‘yeah’ or, by physically pushing things or people away. Overview of role: This is a 2-1 role so a real ‘Team Noah’ affair. The morning shift begins early as Noah requires time to wake up and get ready for school. He has a fantastic fully adapted bedroom, bathroom, and therapy room. There is also a fully equipped day room for his support workers, all on the ground floor. School transport picks him up at am. During weekends and school holidays, Noah and his family want fun-packed days planned. This is a bank role, and you must have some availability within the typical shifts: Term time: Wednesday and Friday am to am (you will be paid 5 hours for these 3-hour shifts), Alternate Saturdays pm to pm. School Holidays: Monday, am to pm, Thursday and Friday, am to pm. Who this job would suit: You will come into this role with plenty of energy and enthusiasm. Noah is a typical 11-year-old boy who could happily sit in front of the TV for hours at a time, but knowing he is going to be taken out to do fun, exciting activities, he will be raring to go He loves people and will form a very strong bond with those he trusts and loves. The continuity of his care is vital, so please consider carefully before applying - we appreciate this is a bank role, but Noah needs to know that you will endeavour to stay on his team on a long-term basis. What’s great about this job: You will be joining a small but dedicated team; you will have continuous support from your colleagues. There is a comprehensive onboarding process, with ongoing support from Noah’s case manager, and his lovely family. If you are looking for bank hours, but also looking for consistency in shifts this is a great job for you. And if you want to continue making a difference in supporting an incredible voraciously determined young boy, then please do apply. Who is recruiting for this role? The client will be carrying out all aspects of the recruitment process and will contact you directly if they would like to progress your application.
