Meraki Talent is working with a long-standing client on the Position of Director or Partner for a reputable firm of Chartered Accountants. Our client: Our client is based in the Northeast of England in the Northumberland region. The business operates as expected of a mid-tier CA firm providing expert advice across multiple service lines such as Audit, Business Services, Advisory, Tax etc. Over recent years the business has seen tremendous growth across each discipline, with a particular drive and focus on the growth of their Tax service line. The Tax department consists of 20+ staff operating as a strategic advisory service to clients within the local community and further afield in locations such as Scotland, North England, and Southeast England. The role: As a Director or Partner within this busy Tax department, you will lead a team consisting of trainees through to Senior Manager grade. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Tax professional to join our client. In this pivotal role, you will shape and execute the Tax strategy, lead a team of dedicated Tax professionals, manage key client relationships, and provide expert advice on complex Tax issues. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic leader to make a significant impact within the firm and contribute to its continued success and growth. The Tax Director or Partner will play a critical role in managing the firm's Tax advisory services. Their duties and responsibilities encompass a wide range of strategic, managerial, and client-facing tasks, including: Strategic Leadership Business Development Client Advisory Client Relationship Management Team Leadership Quality Standards Risk Management Financial Oversight The work you will do will include shaping the team at all levels, working with and becoming a key member within the leadership group. Provide value add service both internally within the team and external to clients. The firm is keen to onboard a GREAT market facing person, someone that understands the importance of being out in the market networking and growing a business function whilst bringing others within the team along with them on a journey of excellence. Experience: The role is open to experienced Tax professionals operating at Manager and Senior Manager grades for Director level or already operating as a Director looking for that 1st Partner opportunity.
